Ilir Latifi withdraws from UFC Stockholm co-main event due to injury
Ilir Latifi is out of Saturday’s co-main event.
Officials announced Thursday that a back injury has forced Latifi to withdraw from his light heavyweight bout opposite Volkan Oezdemir, which was scheduled to take place at UFC Stockholm at Ericsson Globe Arena.
No replacement opponent will be found for Oezdemir. The card will proceed with 12 bouts.
Latifi was looking to bounce back from a unanimous decision loss to Corey Anderson, while Oezdemir was aiming to stop a three-fight skid.
In the UFC Stockholm main event, Alexander Gustafsson fights Anthony Smith in a light heavyweight bout.
