Trump news: US President sparks social media war after horror coronavirus comment | World | News
The US President sparked a war of words on the social media platform following his assessment that the horror virus would be killed off by April due to the spring heat. He claimed to be “very confident” that the disease which has already killed more than 1,000 people in China would die off before summer. However, his comments saw a wave of hilarious, and furious, responses posted online.
One wrote: “OMG you’re such an idiot!
“Whether true or not what Chinese Prez told you, it is proper hygiene and vaccine will stop the spread of Coronavirus!”
A third claimed: “How will you calm the stock markets with the spread of coronavirus……do something……”
While a fourth said: “I hate you but please make sure we take this CoronaVirus seriously.”
And a fifth added: “Yeah until the bull run ends then its recession.
“The pause of the market due to the corona virus can only hold the crash off for so long so wtf do you mean? I don’t think you pay attention.”
According to The Sun, Trump told reporters that he had a “long chat” with China’s President Xi Jinping.
Professor Gabriel Leung, the chair of public health medicine at Hong Kong University, made the claim following findings in a new report.
He told The Guardian: “Sixty per cent of the world’s population is an awfully big number.”
The professor added that even if the death toll of that was one percent, it could have major repercussions globally.
