WARNING: The following article contains spoilers from Sacred Games season two.

The second run of the Indian Netflix series dropped earlier this week and many fans have already made their way through the eight-part drama.

And for many the ending has raised many questions with fans uncertain as to whether or not Sartaj Singh (played by Saif Ali Khan) trying to diffuse a huge bomb.

With just one attempt left viewers see Sartaj draw a line on a screen and hope for the best but it’s not yet known if he was successful.

Some fans have hailed it as the “perfect ending” but others want to know if they’ll get the chance to see if Sartaj was successful.

Now, Sacred Games head write Varun Grover has spoken out on the possibility of a third series teasing it may be up to fans.

“No, I mean, we are thinking of only this season,” he told Gadgets 360.

“We’re basing it on the novel by Vikram Chandra. And we have finished the book in season two, that’s all.

“We’re thinking only till season two. Right now, we’re just focusing on this. Only time will tell.”

While his response is rather cryptic, showunner Vikramaditya Motwane has suggested the series will no longer follow the novel.

He simply told the Hindustan Times: “You make your own,” when you run out of source material.

“Should things go on we’ll make things up.”

Furthermore, Sartaj star Saif Ali added: “This story ends at the end of this season.

“So I don’t know if they will extend it. But there is always scope for more.”

Fans have been divided over the season two ending with some confused. However the majority of fans want the show to end now.

One Reddit user shared: “In my opinion, leaving us to decide fate was very interesting.

“And also about JoJo, I don’t think she was involved with them. She was making up all the things so Gaitonde will kill her and she can finally end her suffering.

“My assumption for this is based on that only Voice in Gaitonde heads was saying that JoJo betrayed him.

“If the series is ending, it’s the perfect ending and I don’t want Sacred games to become like 13 Reasons Why.”

Sacred Games season 2 is available to stream on Netflix now.
