Ja Morant ($7,600) vs Rockets– If the season ended tonight Ja Morant would probably be the rookie of the year and the Grizzlies have wasted no time giving him the keys to the offense. He comes into this game averaging 19.3 PPG 9.0 APG and 4.3 RPG in his last 6 games while shooting an excellent 56.8% from the field. He doesn’t use his 3 pointer often but that is a good thing if he can be so efficient near the rim and in the mid-range area. The Rockets defense is suspect and are allowing the 2nd most FPTS to opposing guards this season and a guy like Morant should be able to take advantage tonight at home.
Alec Burks ($5,300) vs Mavericks– The Warriors have D’Angelo Russell back so Burks will likely fall a bit in the minutes department but he is a scorer so he is always going to get his shots up. He hasn’t been shooting it all that well but he hasn’t had less than 5 rebounds in a game in the last 5 starts and shoots it enough to where he should be able to get to the double digit mark. He is averaging almost 30 FPTS in the last 6 games so at this price I think he is a great value option and if he starts hitting his shots he could be in for a big night.
NBA Daily Fantasy Research
Kelly Oubre Jr. ($7,900) vs Hawks– Oubre has thrived in the Suns offense and even with Ayton back in the mix he hasn’t lost a step. He is putting up over 40 FPPG in the last 5 games and he is doing this by almost averaging a double-double with 22 PPG and 9.0 RPG on 40% shooting from outside. We don’t usually associate Oubre with rebounding but he is very athletic and in a fast paced game he can get some easy boards which means easy FPTS for us. The Hawks defense is atrocious and they like to play fast so a lot of points could be scored in this game and Oubre is one of the guys I want in this type of game.
Brandon Clarke ($4,800) vs Rockets– Clarke comes into this game questionable with a thumb injury but if he plays he could be a great option vs the small ball lineups that the Rockets like to play with PJ Tucker at the 4. Clarke is a double-double threat every time he steps on the floor and he is coming in at a great price at under $5,000. He has 9 PTS 11 REB in his last game and he has been blocking shots in almost every game that he has played. Clarke won’t score 20 PTS a night but he does so much around the game that he is a great play here if he is a full go vs the Rockets at home.
Montrezl Harrell ($7,000) vs Cavaliers– Harrell continues to do his damage off the bench for the Clippers and it doesn’t seem like he will be slowing down anytime soon. In the last 5 games he is averaging 24.2 PPG and 7.4 RPG on 61.8% from the field and he has scored over 40 FPTS in 3 of his last 4 games. The Cavaliers are very thin and not that good defensively in the front court other than Tristan Thompson so this is a game I think Harrell could dominate. With Paul George dealing with an injury they need even more from Harrell and to this point he has continued to deliver, and I think that continues in this game at home.
Ben McLemore ($3,500) vs Grizzlies– News came out yesterday that McLemore will remain in the starting lineup ahead of Daniel House which means we can finally see McLemore get some more playing time and show off that jump shot. He is shooting 47.6% from behind the arc and 59.3% from the field in his last 4 games and will provide a much needed floor spacing option for the Rockets. With 23+ FPTS in 2 of the last 3 games I think at $3,500 he is worth taking a shot especially now that he is in the starting lineup for the time being.
