The First Lady was spotted wearing a python leather cut out skirt and a bright green coat as her and her husband welcomed Ecuador’s President and First Lady to the White House. The event was a huge milestone in American-Ecuadorian relations as the event has not taken place in 20 years.

The 49-year-old FLOTUS put on quite the show in a Salvatore Ferragamo pencil skirt and a white sweater.

She also wore a bright green coat on her shoulders and Manolo Blanik suede stilettos.

She paired the look without tights and had a huge smile on her face as she greeted the special guests.

However, Melania chose to alter the design of the skirt by removing the silk under skirt.

By removing the silk portion of the skirt, Melania put more focus on the skirt’s unique design and cut-out patterns.

Ecuadorian President Lenín Moreno’s wife Rocio Gonzalez also modelled also wore a bold skirt.

She more a demure black and red number with a more floaty, chevron design.

However, Twitter users were less than impressed with the First Lady’s decision to wear her coat on her shoulders rather than with her arms in the sleeves.

However, some fans loved Melania’s outfit and praised her look.
