Disenchantment season 2 Netflix release time: What time is it out? | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV
Disenchantment wowed fans with its humorous take on the animated fantasy world when it first dropped on Netflix last year. Now it’s returning with season two, viewers will be able to watch it from tomorrow. Here’s everything you need to know about the launch of the series.
When is Disenchantment released on Netflix?
From the minds of The Simpsons creator Matt Groening, Disenchantment is back for another series.
The show will be released on Netflix on Friday, September 20.
Season two is expected to drop at 12:01am PST (Pacific Standard Time).
This is because Netflix is headquartered in California so that is where content is released first.
What time it will be released will depend on your time difference from California.
For example, new episodes should drop on Netflix in the UK at 8am BST.
Fans will need to be subscribed to Netflix to be able to watch Disenchantment.
The streaming platform offers a 30-day free trial for new subscribers.
After this, costs vary between £5.99 and £11.99 for different levels of access to the content.
What is Disenchantment season 2 about?
The series comes from the mind of Matt Groening, who is best known for his creations The Simpsons and Futurama for 20th Century Fox.
The show is set in the medieval fantasy kingdom of Dreamland.
The first season followed the story of rebellious princess Bean (played by Abbi Jacobson) and her elf companion Elfo (Nat Faxon).
The second outing will pick up on the story of the first as Bean continues working against her destructive personal demon Luci (Eric Andre).
Fans can also expect to see more of the creatures they encounter along the way, including ogres, sprites, harpies, imps, trolls, walruses, and lots of human fools.
The show will also reunite many of the first season voice actors of Matt Berry, David Herman, Maurice LaMarche, Lucy Montgomery, and Billy West.
Ahead of its launch, Groening also revealed to IGN there will be other new talents joining the show.
This includes Futurama actors Phil LaMarr and Lauren Tom who will be lending their vocal talents to the show.
Speaking in an interview with the publication, co-creator Groening also teased season two will feature more of Sharon Horgan as the evil Dagmar.
His co-creator Josh Weinstein explained to IGN: “There are depths and huge laughs that you rarely get to see in animated fantasy.”
If this is anything to go by, season two looks set to be even better than the first.
Disenchantment season 2 is available to stream from September 20 on Netflix.
