Ten games are on the MLB schedule for Thursday, including a pair of afternoon matchups — Mariners vs. Tigers at 1:10 p.m. ET and Dodgers vs. Marlins at 3:05 p.m. ET. A majority of the MLB DFS action on sites like FanDuel and DraftKings, however, will focus on the eight night games that include the critical NL East showdown between the Braves and Mets, Yankees vs. Indians and Astros vs. Athletics — all games loaded with MLB playoff picture implications. Before making the call on players such as Ronald Acuna Jr., Francisco Lindor or Pete Alonso, first be sure to see what DFS pro Mike McClure has to say. He’s won almost $2 million in his career and his optimal MLB DFS lineups, top picks, player pool and advice can help you crush your selections on Thursday.

When it comes to MLB, McClure is at his best. Recognized in the bookFantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn Your Hobby into a Fortune” as a top MLB DFS player, McClure’s proprietary projection model simulates each game 10,000 times, taking factors such as matchups and recent results into account. This allows him to find the best values on every site.

He got off to a hot start in 2019, producing lineups on SportsLine that have returned as much as 30x in the first half of the season. He’s also finished in the top 1 percent of tournaments four times and the top 0.1 percent of tournaments twice this season already. He cashed huge in three consecutive tournaments in mid-June, which included a top 2 percent finish when his DraftKings lineup generated a whopping 185.9 points. He also had an optimal lineup on FanDuel that cashed 8x for followers right before the All-Star break.

Then on Wednesday, he was all over J.P. Crawford at just $3,200 on FanDuel. The result: Crawford hit a home run and returned almost 20 points and 6x value. Anybody who followed his advice was well on their way to a huge day. Now, McClure has set his sights on Thursday’s slates.

One of McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for Thursday is Twins outfielder Max Kepler at $4,000 on FanDuel and $5,200 on DraftKings. The 26-year old has been a breakout star this season, entering play on Thursday ranked third in the American League in home runs (32), ninth in RBIs (78) and 10th in runs scored (81). He’s a key part of a Minnesota offense that has a favorable matchup against the Rangers on Thursday, so he’s an MLB DFS pick you should be all over.

Part of his optimal MLB DFS strategy includes rostering Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge ($3,900 on FanDuel, $4,400 on DraftKings), who is a great value as he takes on the Indians and starter Adam Plutko (4.68 ERA). Judge has 12 home runs in just 66 games played this season, giving him a great chance to return value with just one swing.

McClure is also targeting an undervalued player who is set to explode for huge numbers on Thursday. The stars are aligning for him to return tournament-winning value and he comes at a price that won’t break the bank. This pick could be the difference between cashing in big or going home with nothing.
