Big hitting numbers might be harder for MLB DFS players to find on Friday with pitchers such as Jacob deGrom, Zack Greinke, Jose Berrios and Hyun-Jin Ryu all scheduled to take the hill. But with 13 games on the MLB DFS main slate in the evening, there are plenty of ways to build rosters before entering MLB DFS contests such as the $150K Friday MLB Rally on FanDuel or the $250K Hidden Ball Trick on DraftKings. Before locking in any of your own MLB DFS lineups, first be sure to see what Mike McClure has to say. He’s won almost $2 million in his career as a daily Fantasy pro and his top MLB DFS picks, advice and player pool can help you make all the right calls on this loaded day of MLB action.

When it comes to MLB, McClure is at his best. Recognized in the bookFantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn Your Hobby into a Fortune” as a top MLB DFS player, McClure’s proprietary projection model simulates each game 10,000 times, taking factors such as matchups and recent results into account. This allows him to find the best values on every site.

He got off to a hot start in 2019, producing lineups on SportsLine that have returned as much as 30x in the first half of the season. He’s also finished in the top 1 percent of tournaments four times and the top 0.1 percent of tournaments twice this season already. He cashed huge in three consecutive tournaments in mid-June, which included a top 2 percent finish when his DraftKings lineup generated a whopping 185.9 points. He also had an optimal lineup on FanDuel that cashed 8x for followers right before the All-Star break.

Then on Thursday, he was all over Rays outfielder Austin Meadows at $3,700 on FanDuel. The result: Meadows went 2-for-4 with a home run — returning around 30 points and 8x value. Anyone who has followed his lead has seen some big returns. Now, McClure has set his sights on Friday’s slates.

One of McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for Friday is Rays outfielder Tommy Pham at $3,900 on FanDuel and $5,100 on DraftKings. Pham (.265/19/54) has found plenty of ways to return value for MLB DFS players this season. He ranks sixth in the American League in walks (71) and seventh in stolen bases (16). He’s in a great position to get on, get over and score this evening as the Rays take on the historically-bad Orioles‘ pitching staff. Ty Blach (0-1, 12.06 ERA) gets the start for Baltimore, making Pham a must-roster for this matchup.

Part of his optimal MLB DFS strategy includes rostering Brewers outfielder Trent Grisham ($3,000 on FanDuel, $3,500 on DraftKings), who has produced over 6x value on FanDuel five times since being called up earlier this month. He’s has three home runs and 10 RBIs in just 16 games played, but despite his impressive early power numbers, he still comes at a great bargain on both sites, so confidently lock him in as the Brewers take on the Diamondbacks in Milwaukee.

McClure is also targeting an undervalued player who is set to explode for huge numbers on Friday. The stars are aligning for him to return tournament-winning value and he comes at a price that won’t break the bank. This pick could be the difference between cashing in big or going home with nothing.
