Love Island’s Laura Whitmore loves period sex: ‘You’re at your horniest!’
As the new Love Island host, Laura Whitmore is well-versed on matters of romance.
The Irish former MTV presenter is covering for Caroline Flack while the latter prepares to stand trial for allegedly hitting boyfriend Lewis Burton with a lamp. She denies the allegeations.
But in the mean time, Laura’s straight talking, no-nonsense approach to sex has made her the perfect fit for the lusty villa.
And one thing Laura, 34, thinks we should all be doing more of is period sex.
The star – who is currently in a serious relationship with Love Island voiceover guy Iain Stirling – believes there’s no better time of the month to get busy.
Previously chatting about whether it’s a yay or nay to period sex on podcast Girls With Goals, she was shocked to find none of her co-stars were down.
She said: “I can’t believe you don’t have sex during that time.
“I don’t see it as being an issue, especially when it’s someone you’ve been with a long time.
“You’re at your horniest at that time.”
Also, with Laura’s work taking her across the globe, she admitted she doesn’t like to waste an opportunity to get busy between the sheets.
“As someone who travels a lot, and being someone in a relationship where you’ve only got a small amount of time – you take what you can get,” she continued.
After landing a coveted gig presenting for MTV in 2008 Laura was linked to a slew of heartthrobs including model David Gandy, singer Paulo Nutini and Bodyguard star Richard Madden.
She dated Coronas frontman Danny O’Reilly for three years; Sunset Suns star Rory Williams for 18 months and was even linked to Leonardo DiCaprio at the 2016 BAFTAS.
The pair were seen chatting and whispering into each others ears at an after-party at London’s Rosewood hotel that February, with sources claiming Leo was “completely taken” by the Irish beauty.
“She was playing it cool but he made a beeline for her and they instantly started flirting,” an onlooker claimed to The Sun.
“Leo made it clear he wanted her to come back upstairs to his suite at the hotel to continue the party afterwards.”
Laura – who was hosting the red carpet for EE – apparently headed back to his plush suite at around 3:30am along with several others.
But the blonde presenter was the only one Leo was interested in, according to a partygoer.
“He was all over Laura until after 5am. At one point he held her face in his hand,” the insider said.
At the time, Laura was dating Sunset Sons rocker Rory Williams and insisted everything had been above board.
“Everyone was just having fun — there was a lot of dancing,” she told Hello! magazine.
And speaking to The Mirror, the 34 year old admitted the gossip had put a strain on her relationship.
Laura said: “I promise I didn’t stay in Leo’s room all night!
“All this attention has not been easy because I am going out with someone.”
